So this weekend I’ll be visiting Los Angeles to see my dear friends that I greatly miss. Although, while I’m in LA, I must do a wardrobe makeover. Thank god I have fabulous friends that have impeccable taste. My dear friend, Blayke Kogan, recommends West Willard. I checked the site out. STAMP OF APPROVAL.
“A stirring, emotionally true testament to foolish bravery as well as shameful evidence of the severity with which it is so often punished.”-Chicago Tribune
Dallas, Texas has way too many great restaurants.
If you haven’t had a bite to eat at Adelmo’s you must go.
Personally, I’m a duck fanatic. I love trying duck at different places (really disappointed with Aurora’s by the way). Adelmo’s had killer duck. They also have terrific pasta if that’s your thing.
You can check out their menu on their official website.
Meet Lisa Solberg, a Chicago native who moved to Los Angeles. She makes incredible art that she describes herself as “energetic”. Watch the posted video and you’ll see how this magical energy is released. I was introduced to her by a friend from school that knows her and when I first gazed at her art I was astounded. Get this! She’s only in her early twenties. She credits Pollack as a huge inspiration. Here are a few pieces of her art:
“ThereĀ is one compelling reason to check outĀ Gimme Shelter aside from wanting to wallow in nostalgic Flower Power martyrdom. It’s probably the best full-scale look at Mick Jagger that exists in the movies.”- NY Magazine
Not sure if you guys are aware of the NYC based clothing company known as Oak but they have new items you can find on their online store. Some are really great. Here are a few items that caught my eye-
What do you guys think? I love them. If you ever feel like buying me a “thank you” or a generous gift you know what I want. Okay?
“This is a painful movie to watch. But it is also exhilarating, as all good movies are, because we are watching the director and actors venturing beyond any conventional idea of what a modern movie can be about.”- Roger Ebert
Our favorite indie goddess, Chloe, is now in this readily available music video for the band Coconut Records. For everyone that doesn’t know, Coconut Records is led by actor Jason Schwartzman. Hipsterrunoff doesn’t even know this music video seems to mean…I’m with them. It’s cute though. I guess. You can watch Sevigny skate around and flip her hair. That’s always nice, considering how beautiful she is. I wish I could be just as beautiful as Chloe…maybe one day when I can skate.

Grinded some Kenya beans, used the French press for the coffee, made a tiny portion of rice, having a cigarette, and watching Mad Men. 11 hours ago
I miss real food. I didn't eat dinner tonight because I didn't want defrosted/processed food. Maybe I should just make a stop and shop run. 11 hours ago
